AS I PREVIOUSLY STATED I WANTED MY TWO COLLECTIONS TO CONTRAST WITH ONE ANOTHER, FIRST COLLECTION BEING VERY PHOTOGRAPHIC AND ABSTRACT, I WANT MY NEXT COLLECTION TO ALSO KEEP WITHIN THE THEME ABSTRACT BUT HAVE MORE HAND DRAWN QUALITIES TO IT. THEREFORE I TOOK PHOTOGRAPHS OF INTERESTING SHAPES AND TEXTURES THEN EDITED THEM ALL TO ENHANCE THE COLOURS FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO DRAW AND DISSECT AREAS FROM THEM TO BECOME ABSTRACT. I FEEL ASIF THIS COLLECTION WILL DEVELOP AND ENHANCE PREVIOUS TEXTURES I HAVE LOOKED AT WITHIN THIS PROJECT AND IMPROVE MY COLLECTION.

LIVE BRIEF - TEXTILE FEDERATION - CHINESE WHISPERS
THIS HAS BEEN THE FIRST LIVE BRIEF I HAVE SEEN SO FAR THIS TERM THAT HAS APPEALED TO ME AS THE WINNER GETS THEIR DESIGN PRINTED AND SOLD ON ASOS, WHICH WOULD BE AMAZING FOR ME AS I SHOP ON ASOS REGULARLY AND AS A PRINT DESIGNER THAT WOULD BE IDEAL ALSO.
FOR THE BRIEF CHINESE WHISPERS, I GOT MY INSPIRATION FROM ORIENTAL FLOWERS AND TRADITIONAL BRUSH STROKES. I CREATED MY DESIGN WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS TO PUSH MY SELF AND KNOW IF I WAS IN A JOB AND THEY NEEDED TO SEE SOMETHING IN A DAY OR TWO I WOULD BE ABLE. IT WAS QUITE A CHALLENGE JUST THINKING OF IDEAS BUT THROUGH MY DRAWINGS I WAS ABLE TO CREATE 4 PRINTS.
I ENJOYED PARTAKING IN THIS LIVE BRIEF AS IT ALLOWED ME TO GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF AN EXTERNAL BRIEF, GIVEN BY A REAL COMPANY. I FEEL I WOULD DEFINITELY ENTER MORE BRIEFS LIKE THIS AS I AM GENUINELY INTERESTED IN THE COMPANY AND WOULD LOVE TO WORK FOR THEM POTENTIALLY IF THAT WERE TO BE EVER POSSIBLE.

MORE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL PRINTS
I REFINED MY PREVIOUS PRINT SAMPLES BY TAKING A SEGMENT FROM THEM THEN LAYERING AND DEVELOPING THEM IN TO THE ABOVE USING PHOTOSHOP.I FEEL THE PRINT IS VERY ABSTRACT AND TRUE TO THE TITLE OF MY PROJECT ABSTRACT STRUCTURES. I LIKE HOW THE PRINT HAS ELEMENTS OF PHOTOGRAPHIC AND STILL TEXTURAL. I FEEL ASIF I WILL KEEP THIS AS AN OCCURRING THEME AND LEAD THIS IN TO ITS OWN PRINT COLLECTION.
I THEN BEGAN TO PLAY AROUND WITH MY INITAL NEUTRAL TEXTURES, INFLUENCED FROM STONE IN ARCHITECTURE. THE PRINT IS STARTING TO LOOK VERY PHOTOGRAPHIC LIKE MY OTHER COLLECTION, I WANT A CONTRAST WITHIN MY COLLECTIONS, MAYBE MORE HAND DRAWN QUALITIES. I FEEL ASIF THE NEUTRAL TONES WILL ALL FADE IN TO ONE, THEREFORE I FEEL ASIF SOME MORE VISUAL RESEARCH IS NEEDED TO DEVELOP MY SECOND COLLECTION. I NEED TO EXPAND MY TEXTURES FROM JUST ARCHITECTURE, AND USE ANY FOUND INTERESTING TEXTURES AND SURFACES TO GAIN A WIDER VARIETY BETWEEN THE TWO COLLECTIONS.

JULIES FASHION AWARENESS WORKSHOP
JULIE'S FASHION AWARENESS WORKSHOP ALLOWED ME TO THINK WHERE IN THE FASHION WORLD MY PRINTS WOULD BE, HIGHT STREET, HIGH END? IN THE WORKSHOP WE HAD TO RESEARCH FABRICS AND CONTEMPORARY STYLES OF CLOTHING. THE RESEARCH ALLOWED ME TO GAIN A MARKET FOR MY WORK, I BELIEVE MY WORK SITS IN THE HIGHER END OF THE HIGH STREET IN SHOPS SUCH AS ALLSAINTS, REISS AND ZARA.
THROUGH RESEARCHING CLOTHING TRENDS AND SHAPE, ALSO HAS ENABLED ME TO CHOOSE WHAT KIND OF STYLE CLOTHING I AM DESIGNING FOR, I FEEL MY PRINTS WOULD BE BEST SUITED TO QUITE BAGGY STRAIGHT FITTING CLOTHING, A TAILORED STYLE. THROUGH THIS HAS ABLED ME TO REFINE MY DEVELOPMENT AND DIGITAL PRINTS AROUND THIS RESEARCH TO ENSURE I HIT MY PREFERRED TARGET MARKET.

DEVELOPING PRINT COLLECTION
DEVELOPING ON FROM MY ICE PHOTOGRAPHS I STARTED TO DISECT THEM AND CREATE SOME ABSTRACT/GRAPHIC SAMPLE PRINTS.
I LIKE THESE PRINTS BUT I FEEL AS IF THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING PARTICULARLY INTERESTING TO THEM. I FEEL ASIF I NEED TO GO BACK AND REFINE THEM AND CREATE PRINTS THAT ARE MORE PLACEMENT PRINTS, SUCH AS FROM MY PROJECTIONS, WHERE YOU COULD PLACE AREAS OF A PRINT ON A PARTICULAR AREA OF THE BODY. I FEEL I ALSO NEED TO REFINE MY SCALE, MAKE PRINTS LARGER AND NOT CRAM EVERYTHING IN TO AN A3 SIDE.

INITIAL LASER CUT SAMPLES
I FEEL THESE HAVE BEEN MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN I ACTUALLY ANTICIPATED. THE SHAPE OF THEM FITS PERFECTLY AROUND THE BODY AND THE CUT AWAY AREAS OPEN DUE TO THE SHAPE OF THE BODY. I FEEL THE BLACK IS MORE SUCCESSFUL AS IT IS MORE BOLD, AND THE WHITE FABRIC LEAVES BURN MARKS ONCE LASER CUT. I FEEL THE COTTON FABRIC I USED HAS WORKED WELL CONSIDERING IT IS NOT PARTICULARLY A THICK FABRIC.
I STILL WANT TO EXPERIMENT WITH MORE DESIGNS AND FABRICS, AS I REALLY FEEL THIS PROCESS FITS WITHIN THE STRUCTURAL SHAPE AND LINE ELEMENT I WAS LOOKING FOR WITHIN ONE OF MY COLLECTIONS, AS I WANT ONE TO BE MINIMAL LINEAR/STRUCTURAL SHAPES AND I FEEL THE LASER CUTTER CAN POTENTIALLY ACHIEVE THIS.
TO DEVELOP THIS PROCESS FURTHER I MUST REFINE DESIGNS AND FABRIC SELECTION TO PRODUCE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES.

PRESENTATION WEEK
THIS WEEK INSTEAD OF A TUTORIAL WE HAD A PRESENTATION OF OUR WORK SO FAR. I FELT IT WENT OKAY AND BY CREATING THE PRESENTATION ALLOWED ME TO SEE WHERE MY WORK WAS AND WHERE IT WAS DEVELOPING TO. I'M QUITE A NERVOUS SPEAKER SO IT WAS DAUNTING TALKING IN FRONT OF A CLASS, BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT GAVE ME PRACTICE IF I EVER HAD TO DO THIS IN THE FUTURE.
IN MY FEEDBACK I GOT TOLD HOW THEY LIKED MY IDEAS OF MANIPULATING MATERIALS AND FABRICS TO CREATE MORE 3D WORK. I ALSO WAS TOLD I SHOULD MAYBE HAVE MORE SAMPLING TO GO ALONGSIDE MY RESEARCH. THIS HAS MADE ME THINK ABOUT MY OUTCOMES AND HOW I NEED TO START DEVELOPING MY PRINT COLLECTIONS MORE PROMPTLY AND ONLY CARRY ON WITH PROCESSES THAT ARE RELEVANT TO MY WORK AND WITH BENFIT IT. THEREFORE I FEEL THIS PRESENTATION HAS BEEN BENEFICIAL AS I AM NOW MORE FOCUSED TO DEVELOP IDEAS AND CREATE SOME INTERESTING OUTCOMES.

PRINCESS PLEATING
AFTER WANTING TO EXPERIMENT WITH PLEATING I GOT AN INDUCTION ON THE PRINCESS PLEATER, ALLOWING ME TO CREATING KNEAT FOLDS AND PLEATS WITHIN FABRIC. I REALLY ENJOYED LEARNING THIS PROCESS AS I FEEL IT COULD REALLY DEVELOP MY WORK AND COMBINE TEXTURE AS WELL AS LINE QUALITIES. THEREFORE I DIGITALLY PRINTED SOME FABRIC TO SEE THE RESULTS.
I LIKE THE TEXTURES IT HAS CREATED, AND THE MOVEMENT AND FLOW OF THE FABRIC. HOWEVER I FEEL ASIF I AM NOT ABLE TO REALLY DEVELOP THIS PROCESS MUCH FURTHER. IT CREATES STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS I WANT BUT YOU ARE LIMITED TO SIZE AND FABRICS, THEREFORE I FEEL AS IF I AM GOING TO LEAVE THIS PROCESS AND FOCUS ON OTHER AREAS IN MY WORK.

CHANGING STRUCTURES
AS MY CONCEPT IS ABSTRACT STRUCTURES, MY THOUGHTS WENT TO HOW CAN I MAKE A STRUCTURE ABSTRACT. I PREVIOUSLY LOOKED AT MANIPULATING MATERIALS JUST AS THE CUTAWAY, BUT HOW COULD I EXPERIMENT IN OTHER WAYS. THEN I THOUGHT ABOUT HOW I COULD CHANGE A STRUCTURE. LEADING ME TO FREEZING WATER; TURNING IT TO ICE, THEN I BREAKING IT UP. LEAVING FRAGMENTS OF ICE AND SHARP EDGED LINES. I THEN DROPPED INK IN TO THESE AND PHOTOGRAPHED THEM.
THE PHOTOGRAPHS PORTRAY REALLY INTERESTING TONES ASIF THEY ARE ALMOST LUMINOUS AND GLOWING. THE REFLECTIVE LIGHT REALLY ADDS TO THE VISUAL, AND I LIKE HOW THE DIFFERENT SHAPED FRAGMENTS ALL CONJOIN IN TO ONE, RE-CONSTRUCTING IN TO A NEW SHAPE.I FEEL ASIF THESE COULD BE PRINTS IN THEMSELVES, HOWEVER I REALLY WANT TO EDIT AND MANIPULATE THESE IMAGES AGAIN AS I FEEL THEY WOULD CREATE REALLY ABSTRACT, GRAPHIC DIGITAL PRINTS.

3D
FENDI SPRING 2015
I SEEN FENDI WERE USING LASER CUT TECHNIQUES FOR THEIR SPRING COLLECTION, YOU CAN SEE THE 3D CUTAWAY ELEMENTS IMMEDIATELY GIVE THE GARMENT SOMETHING EXTRA. I LOVE HOW THE FLOWERS LOOK LIKE THEIR COMING OFF THE DRESS, ADDS TEXTURE AND EMBELLISHMENT TO THE GARMENT.YOU CAN SEE THE FABRIC USED IS THICK, THEREFORE TO ACHIEVE THIS I MUST USE THESE SORT OF FABRIC OR MY DESIGNS WILL NOT LOOK 3D.
NOA RAVIV
I FOUND THIS DESIGNER NOA RAVIV WHO ALSO USES 3D TO CREATE ARCHITECTURAL/STRUCTURAL SHAPES. HER DESIGNS ARE VERY CONTEMPORARY AND FASHION FORWARD. SHE USES LINE TO CREATE STRUCTURE AND MOVEMENT WITHIN HER DESIGNS, AND USES MINIMAL COLOURS, SOMETHING I WANT TO KEEP WITHIN MY LINEAR WORK.

MANIPULATION
AFTER PREVIOUSLY LOOKING AT GEORGIA HARDINGE & THEA BJERG AND HOW THEY MANIPULATED FABRICS TO CREATE STRUCTURE IN A MORE 3D WAY, I THOUGHT ABOUT WAYS I COULD POTENTIALLY DO THIS. LEADING ME TO USE CUTAWAY, MANIPULATING THE PAPER AND FORMING THESE 3D SHAPES. I FEEL THIS TECHNIQUE WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL AS IT HAS BROUGHT A MORE EXCITING ELEMENT TO MY DESIGNS AND CREATES INTERESTING TEXTURES. TO PROGRESS WITH THIS FURTHER I THOUGHT ABOUT USING THE LASER CUTTER AND TRYING OUT SUCH TECHNIQUES. FABRIC SELECTION WILL BE KEY AS I WILL HAVE TO USE A STIFF ENOUGH FABRIC TO BE ABLE TO CURVE AND BEND LIKE PAPER.
I ALSO WANT TO KEEP VISUALISING MY DESIGNS ON THE BODY AS IT PROVES HELPFUL TO ME AS I AM ABLE TO SEE IF MY DESIGN WOULD WORK ON THE BODY OR JUST LOOK ODD.
AFTER PLACING MY DESIGNS ON THE MANNEQUIN I CAN SEE THAT THEY WOULD WORK PERFECTLY ON THE BODY IN VARIOUS POSITIONS.THIS HAS EXCITED ME TO PROGRESS WITH THIS METHOD DEVELOPING IT WITH FABRIC USING THE LASER CUTTER.ANOTHER AREA TO THINK ABOUT IS SCALE. HOW LARGE I COULD MAKE THEM, HOW WILL THE CUTAWAY AREAS BE EFFECTED?

DEFINING STRUCTURAL LINES
I WANT TO ADD MORE OF A SOLID, STRONGER LINE QUALITY TO MY INITIAL LINEAR DRAWING, THEREFORE I HAVE USED THE ETHOS MACHINE TO DEVELOP MY DRAWINGS FURTHER.
THE ETHOS ALLOWED ME TO CREATE BOLD BLACK STRUCTURED LINES. IT IS RELEVANT TO MY WORK AND DEVELOPMENT AS IT ENABLES ME TO CREATE STRUCTURAL SHAPES IN A MINIMAL WAY AND ALLOWS ME TO START THE PROCESS OF USING FABRIC AND STITCH TO DRAW, PORTRAYING A VARIETY OF MATERIALS TO EXPERIMENT WITH. USING BLACK ON BLACK IS STRIKING AND KEEPS THE THE ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENT APPARENT. AS THIS PROCESS HAS REALLY DEVELOPED MY WORK I STILL FEEL THE SAMPLE IS UNSUCCESSFUL AS THE DESIGN IS STILL TOO SMALL. I WANT LARGER LINES, MORE BOLD SHAPES. THIS IS SOMETHING I WILL HAVE TO TWEAK AND DEVELOP MORE.

THEA BJERG & GEORGIA HARDINGE
THEA BJERG & GEORGIA HARDINGE
THEA BJERG AND GEORGIA HARDINGE ARE TWO DESIGNERS WHO USE PLEATING AND FOLD WITHIN THEIR WORK BUT USING DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES. YOU CAN SEE BJERG'S DESIGNS ARE MORE FREE AND FLEXIBLE, WHEREAS HARDINGE'S ARE MORE STRUCTURED. THEY BOTH HAVE A ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENT ABOUT THEM DUE TO THE MANIPULATION OF THE FABRIC. AFTER SEEING THESE EXAMPLES I THOUGHT ABOUT HOW I COULD DIGITALLY PRINT THEN CREATE FOLDS AND PLEATING, COMBINING BOTH MY LINEAR AND TEXTURAL ELEMENTS TOGETHER. IT INTERESTS ME HOW BOTH DESIGNERS HAVE CREATED STRUCTURES BY CHANGING THE ORIGINAL STRUCTURE OF THEIR MATERIALS. AN IDEA/CONCEPT TO THINK ABOUT WITIN MY OWN WORK.

PROJECTING VISUALS
USING THE PROJECTOR TO VISUALISE MY CURRENT VISUALS HAS ALLOWED ME TO SEE HOW COMPOSITION AND PLACEMENT ON THE BODY IS KEY. A PRINT DOES NOT NEED TO BE ALL OVER TO BE EFFECTIVE WHICH IS PROVEN WITH MY BOTTOM LEFT IMAGE. IT HAS ALSO ALLOWED ME TO PLAY AROUND WITH SCALE AND REALLY TEST OUT MY DESIGN ON THE BODY. BEFORE THIS I WAS LOST AS TO HOW TO DEVELOP MY DESIGNS, BUT NOW THIS HAS ALLOWED ME TO THINK ABOUT PLACEMENT PRINTS AND HOW MY DRAWINGS/TEXTURE COULD DEVELOP INTO THEM.
TODAY I ALSO HAD MY 2-2TUTOR CRIT WITH RIANA PHILLPS AND ALEX. RIANA SAID MY LINEAR DRAWINGS REMINDED HER OF FOLDS AND PLEATING. I FEEL USING FOLDS AND PLEATING WOULD BE A GREAT WAY TO BRING A DIFFERENT KIND OF STRUCTURE IN TO MY WORK AND ADD A MORE OF AN ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENT TO IT AS THE FOLDS WILL FORM THEIR OWN STRUCTURAL SHAPES AND LINE, KEEPING THINGS MINIMAL BUT STILL DETAILED.

POAM X VARIOUS PROJECTS
I FOUND THIS FASHION PRINT COMPANY PRINT ALL OVER ME ON INSTAGRAM WHO DISPLAY THEIR PRINT DESIGNS USING PROJECTION. I THINK IT LOOKS REALLY CONTEMPORARY AND FASHION FORWARD AND ALLOWS YOU TO SEE THE PRINT AS A WHOLE AND ENABLES YOU TO SEE WHERE THE DESIGN WOULD SUIT THE BODY. I FEEL AS IF THIS WOULD BE A IDEAL WAY FOR ME TO VISUALISE WHERE MY TEXTURES AND LINEAR DRAWINGS WOULD BE PLACED ON THE BODY, AS IT WILL ALLOW ME TO MOVE THE DESIGN FREELY AND FIND THE BEST COMPOSITION FOR THEM EASILY. I ALSO FEEL ASIF IT IS VISUALLY INTERESTING AND ALLOWS ME TO GAIN A WIDER VARIETY IN FASHION VISUALISATIONS.

VISUAL RESEARCH CONTINUED
FROM MY INITIAL TEXTURES I CURATED PREVIOUSLY, I SCANNED THEM IN TO PHOTOSHOP WHERE I BEGAN TO LAYER AND EDIT THEM, ALLOWING MORE NOTICEABLY INTERESTING COLOURS AND TONES. TEXTURAL SURFACES ARE MORE APPARENT,GIVING ME MORE IMAGERY TO BE DEVELOPED FURTHER. I THINK LAYERING WILL BE A CONSTANT ELEMENT IN MY DESIGNS ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO THE TEXTURAL SIDE OF MY WORK, AS LAYERING PROVIDES UNIQUE AND INTERESTING QUALITIES AND ABSTRACT IMAGERY WHICH IS A KEY FACTOR TO MY WORK AS IT IS CALLED ABSTRACT STRUCTURES.
I ALSO PLAYED AROUND WITH MY LINEAR ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS I PREVIOUSLY DID, THROUGH COMPOSITION AND LAYERING I AM ABLE TO CREATE QUITE DECORATIVE, INTRICATE DRAWINGS. BY DOING THIS I AM ABLE TO START VISUALISING MY DRAWINGS AS A DESIGN, OR MOTIF. I FEEL ASIF MY NEXT STEP WOULD BE TO GATHER VISUALS SO FAR AND SOMEHOW PLACE THEM ON THE BODY, START TO THINK ABOUT PARTICULAR BODY PARTS AND SHAPES FROM MY DESIGNS WOULD COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER.

INITIAL INFLUENCES
FROM MY OWN PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE RUSTIC ARCHITECTURE I TOOK WHILST IN VENICE, I BEGAN SIMPLE, MINIMAL DRAWINGS FOCUSING ON THEIR STRUCTURAL LINEAR QUALITIES.I WANT TO STRONG BOLD LINES IN MY WORK TO CREATE SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE DESIGNS, WHICH I WILL BE ABLE TO DEVELOP THROUGHOUT MY PRACTICE.
I THEN BEGAN TO USE THE STONE AND BRICK TEXTURES WITHIN THE ARCHITECTURE TO DEVELOP TEXTURAL SURFACES, CREATED USING WALLPAPERS,ROLLERS, FABRIC AND FORKS ALLOWING ME TO CREATE INTERESTING RIDGES AND SURFACES. I LIKE THE MINIMAL TONES WITHIN THESE DESIGNS AS THEY CO-INSIDE WITH MY SIMPLE LINEAR DRAWINGS. HOWEVER I DO FEEL I WANT TO ADD COLOUR AND GAIN A MORE EXTENSIVE COLOUR PALETTE.

ABSTRACT STRUCTURES
MY PROJECT ABSTRACT STRUCTURES IS INFLUENCED BY OBJECTS CONTAINING INTERESTING STRUCTURAL LINE OR TEXTURES. WITH MY MAIN INFLUENCE BEING FROM ARCHITECTURE I WANT TO EXPLORE THE LINEAR QUALITIES IT POSSESSES WITHIN MY WORK. I ALSO WANT TO USE ANY FOUND TEXTURAL SURFACES AND/OR PATTERNS AND CREATE ABSTRACT FASHION PRINTS.
I PLAN TO CREATE 2 DIGITAL COLLECTIONS AND 1 COLLECTION USING THE LASER CUTTER AND ETHOS MACHINE TO EMPHASISE THE LINEAR QUALITIES WITHIN ARCHITECTURE. I ALSO PLAN TO MAKE A LOOKBOOK IN UNIT X, SO IN PRACTICE I PLAN TO START RESEARCHING AND GATHERING SAMPLE LAYOUTS AND TEST SHOOTS FOR THIS.

DEGREE SHOW 2014.
[HOLLIE DAVIES]
HOLLIE'S WORK STOOD OUT FOR ME AS HER PRINTS ARE BOLD AND VERY STRIKING. YOU CAN SEE HER COLOUR PALETTE HAS BEEN A MAIN FOCUAL POINT OF HER COLLECTION WHICH I FEEL IS VERY SUCCESSFUL. THE CONTRAST FROM HER BOLD COLOURFUL PRINTS TO THE MINIMAL BACKGROUNDS FOR THE LOOKBOOK WORK WELL, GIVING HOLLIE STRONG IMAGERY, ALLOWING HER TO CLEARLY PORTAY HER FASHION CONTEXT. HER STYLING COMBINED WITH THE POSES OF THE MODEL ARE ANOTHER KEY FACTOR TO HER IMAGERY SHOWING HOLLIE HAS RESEARCHED ALL AREAS WHEN PRODUCING HER FINAL OUTCOMES, SOMETHING I MUST CONSIDER WHEN DOING MY OWN PROJECT. HER WORK HAS BEEN HUGELY INSPIRATIONAL FOR ME AS I FEEL A LOOKBOOK COULD BE AN IDEAL WAY TO SHOWCASE MY FINAL DESIGNS AND PORTRAY MY CONTEXT WELL AND ALLOW ME TO DO SO IN MY OWN STYLE, AND GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO DIRECT AND STYLE MY OWN PHOTO SHOOT.
------------------------------------
[EMMA ROSS]
EMMA'S USE OF COLOUR AND MATERIALS TO CREATE A RANGE OF TEXTURES WITHIN HER WORK GIVES HER DESIGNS VARIETY, MAKING EVERY ONE UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT. HER COMPOSITION IN HER DESIGNS STANDS OUT, INSPIRING ME TO ALSO CONSIDER THIS WHEN CREATING WORK AND MAKING SURE I TRY A RANGE OF COMPOSITION WITHIN MY WORK TO ACHIEVE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES. HER DISPLAYING OF WORK THROUGH A FASHION SHOOT IS EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL DUE TO HOW SHE HAS STYLED THE MODEL AND HER UNIQUE WAY OF DISPLACING HER PRINTS ON THE BODY. THROUGH LOOKING AT EMMA'S WORK HAS SHOWN ME HOW YOU CAN BE REALLY CREATIVE WHEN DISPLAYING YOUR WORK AND HOW ORIGINALITY IS KEY IF YOUR WANTING YOUR WORK TO STAND OUT.
------------------------------------
[BETHANEY BARRIE]
BETHANEY'S PRINTS CAUGHT MY ATTENTION AS HER USE OF COLOUR AND IMAGERY COMBINED REALLY COMPLIMENT ONE ANOTHER, CREATING VERY STRONG DESIGNS. HER FLORAL IMAGERY ALMOST LOOKS LIKE PHOTOGRAPHS AND THIS INSPIRES ME TO DEVELOP MY PHOTOGRAPH SKILLS AND INCLUDE THIS WHEN CREATING DESIGNS. I ALSO LIKE HOW SHE HAS USED VARIETY OF OUTCOMES FOR HER DESIGNS DISPLACING THEM ON CLOTHES AND FASHION ACCESSORIES SUCH AS A CLUTCH BAG. MAKING ME THINK ABOUT HOW I MUST CONSIDER ALL POTENTIAL OUTCOMES FOR MY DESIGNS.
